Tatiana studied
art at Abramtsevo and fabric design at Moscow Technological Institute. She and
her husband, a rug and tapestry weaver, are iconographers for the Moscow
Patriarchate. The most striking feature of Tatiana’s work, which focuses on
historical and religious sets, is the inclusion of semi-precious stones from the
Ural mountains, malachite and pearls. Tatiana feels the stones give her pieces
a look reminiscent of icons, crosses and pieces from the Romanov Dynasty. |
